XenoScreen YES strain is a genetically modified yeast strain (S. Cerevisiae) with human estrogen receptor. The strains are used in the ready to use kit XenoScreen XL YES YAS or XenoScreen XL YES for the identification of chemicals, agrochemicals, cosmetics (EDC's) or water samples with endocrine disruptive activity, i.e estrogenic activity or antagonistic activity. In the receptor transactivation test a chemical is required to bind to the receptor and to activate the receptor. In compliance with ISO 19040.
