Liver S9 Subcellular fractions are used in pharmacokinetic studies, in ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Elimination) studies for drug candidates. They contain a large variety of metabolic enzymes, such as Cytochrome P450 microsomes for Phase I and soluble enzymes in cytosol for Phase II studies.
They can be applied in many different Experiments, such as Cytochrome P450 inhibition studies or Cytochrome Characterization, Studies of Metabolic stability, Metabolite identification, ADME Research, etc.
Liver, kidney, lung and intestine subcellular fractions are available from different species, including nonhuman primates Rhesus Monkey, Beagle Dog, Sprague-Dawley Rat, several Mouse strains (e.g. CD-1, Balb/C), Rabbit, Guinea Pig, BAM Minipig, Chicken.
